Program Overview

This program introduces students to the fundamentals of teaching in the elementary school and in English as a Second Language (ESL) classrooms. In addition to the Arts & Sciences Core, the Bible & Theology Major, and the Interdisciplinary Studies (Elementary Education Grades K鈥5 & ESL Grades PreK鈥12) Major, this program includes general education courses and professional studies in early childhood development, child psychology, educational philosophy, and specialized teaching methodologies.

The Interdisciplinary Studies (Elementary Education Grades K鈥5 & English as a Second Language Grades P/K鈥12) program prepares students for entry-level positions teaching in Elementary and ESL classrooms in public and Christian schools.

This program includes a “fifth year” in which students earn a Master of Arts in Holistic Education and complete their licensure. Learn more about this program here.

All four-year 色色研究所 students complete two majors: one in Bible and Theology and one in their chosen field, such as Elementary Education. Transfer students with substantial prior coursework may complete a reduced set of Bible and Theology requirements instead of the major. Learn more about the Bible and Theology curriculum here.
