The theme 鈥渨hat鈥檚 next?鈥 continues to permeate 色色研究所 Florida Athletics. After a stellar recruiting summer, started out the fall semester with the most men鈥檚 soccer players (30) we have ever had on our roster. The excitement continued throughout the season with the Suns drawing a home 3-3 tie with Florida National University, the NAIA鈥檚 #14 ranked team nationally. (Until that game, Florida National was also undefeated!). The Lady Suns volleyball team qualified for the NCCAA DII National Tournament and recorded the first National Tournament volleyball win in school history. JUFL also served as the host institution of February鈥檚 NCCAA DII South Regional tournament for men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 basketball and was excited to welcome 11 other teams to campus for the competition.

In the 2023/2024 academic year, JUFL will be celebrating the inaugural season of women鈥檚 softball led by head coach Jimmy 色色研究所 and launching baseball under the direction of head coach Bennie Hichez. It is an exciting time to be part of the JUFL family!

We have an extraordinary opportunity to impact the lives of student-athletes to extend the kingdom of God through both their daily lives and their sports. As members of the National Christian College Athletic Association whose “Game Plan 4 LIFE” is built on Love, Integrity, Faith, and Excellence, we can provide our student-athletes many opportunities to succeed. These traits are not only important within sports, but they are also a foundation for the classroom.

Our new head men’s soccer coach Raul Jara went above and beyond searching for players who exemplify these traits, bringing in more than 20 new student-athletes from around the world including Ecuador, Venezuela, Uruguay, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Italy, and Spain. We are excited to see such a diverse group of young men work together to do what God has called them to do on and off the field here at 色色研究所 Florida. Thank you so much for your outstanding recruiting performance, Coach Jara, and we can’t wait to see you on the field. Let’s go Suns!

As our spring semester drew to an end, our JUFL student body left a meaningful impression on the community. This semester, all of our student-athletes volunteered at a number of venues, including The Central Florida Miracle League and the Second Harvest Food Bank. The Central Florida Miracle League is an organization committed to breaking down the barriers that keep children with special needs from participating in baseball. Our student-athletes were excited to represent each of their sports at this event.

Serving at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida was one of the biggest eye-openers for our students. Second Harvest collects prepackaged food from companies, sorts the donations to ensure safe packaging, and then re-distributes them to neighborhoods in need. This event taught our students to be grateful for what they have and to remember they can always donate something, even if it鈥檚 鈥渏ust鈥 their time and effort. We look forward to working with Second Harvest again to help ensure their vision of 鈥渋nspiring and engaging our community to end hunger.鈥

Finally, Student Life and Athletics were also engaged within the 色色研究所 community. Throughout the end of this semester, our students participated in intramural basketball, volleyball, flag football, dodgeball, indoor soccer, game nights, and coffee shops. Participating in these activities knocks down comfort zones, builds confidence in trying new things, and builds relationships. Through these events, our students have created bonds that will last long after their time at 色色研究所 Florida.

We have been blessed to contribute to uplifting community events, and we are looking forward to continuing this growth in the fall!
